Basic Safety Training (BST) Courses Offered

Our Basic Safety Training for Seafarers includes the following mandatory modules:

Personal Survival Techniques (PST)

This course trains seafarers to survive at sea in emergency situations such as ship abandonment.

Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (PSSR)

This module focuses on safe working practices, teamwork, and social responsibility onboard ships.

  • Environmental protection and pollution prevention

Elementary First Aid (EFA)

This course provides essential medical first-aid knowledge for onboard emergencies.

  • CPR and life-saving techniques
  • Treatment of burns, fractures, and bleeding
  • Use of first-aid equipment onboard ships

Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (FPFF)

This course trains seafarers to prevent, control, and extinguish shipboard fires effectively.

  • Fire prevention measures
  • Use of firefighting equipment
  • Practical fire-fighting exercises and drills

Security Training for Seafarers with Designated Security Duties (STSDSD)

This program equips seafarers with ship security awareness and response skills.
